Lt. Col. Frank D. Bryant Jr., 37, of Knoxville, Tenn., died April 27, at the Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from gunfire.
He was assigned to the 56th Operations Group, Luke Air Force Base, Ariz.
The incident is under investigation.
