The Department of Defense announced today the death of Sgt. 1st Class Robert W. Pharris, 48, of Seymour, Mo., while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He died January 5 of wounds suffered at Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the Missouri National Guard Agri-Business Development Team IV, Jefferson City, Mo.
