Special Warfare Operator Senior Chief Petty Officer (SEAL) Thomas A. Ratzlaff, 34, of Green Forest, Ark., died Aug. 6 in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when a CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed. He was assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit.
