I searched on google. Every day. Five times a day.
I searched on Ebay. Five times a day.
I searched all of the used book stores. Five times a day.
I knew that there had to be a better way than scanning through hundreds of items. There is.
Your best chance to find your yearbook on ebay is to do a basic search on Ebay, save that search, and let Ebay automatically email you once a day when there is a match. How many emails you will recieve depends on how specific your "keywords" are in your search. You can save an unlimited amount of saved searches with various search terms to better your chances.
Here's how to do it.
1. Do a search on ebay.
2. On the results page near the top next to "? items found for ?", click on (save this search).
3. In the new window that pops up tick the checkbox for "Email me daily when new items match my search for " and choose from the drop down box how long you would like to be emailed for (7 days, 14 days, 1 month, etc), up to 1 year.
Then, you will only have to scan through a couple of items that are new (in your email) instead of going through all the results again when you search (on ebay).
You can also re-search from your saved searches on your "My Ebay" page.
*BTW, it took me two months before I found the yearbook I was looking for.
