Data Network Technicians are responsible for the installation, configuring, and management of data network systems in both stand-alone and client-server environment, including Microsoft based curriculum on MS Exchange/Server, CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) modules 1, 2, and 3, as well as other authorized data network systems.
They install, configure, and maintain network services, both hardware and software. They also plan and execute the integration of multiple information systems, to include Data Distribution System-Replacement/Modular (DDS-R/M), in a network environment, evaluate and resolve customer information systems problems, and effect required hardware upgrades and repair to maintain mission capability. MOS 0656 IS MERGED WITH 0651 AND 0656 IS DELETED.
Prerequisites.
(1) Must be a U.S. Citizen.
(2) Must possess a GT score of 110 or higher.
(3) Must have a confidential security clearance and be eligible for a secret security clearance.
