Installs and maintains substation switchboards. Repairs, adjusts, and calibrates electric high voltage current relays. Repairs and adjusts circuit breakers, regulators, transformers, protective and controlling apparatus and sectionalizing switches. Uses electrician’s tools.
Must be familiar with standard operating rules and regulations governing military railway electric transmission systems. Should have thorough knowledge of substation operation from mechanical point of view.
